Quality control process at Romatex

Stitch-bonded non-woven materials need to be manufactured according to stringent quality control processes and standards. Romatex is a leading manufacturer and supplier of this sustainable textile in South Africa. We follow various local and international guidelines for quality production to ensure that our customers receive world-class textiles.

Every year, we produce around 24 million square metres of stitchbond material, which helps to keep 54 million plastic bottles out of landfills and the environment. We supply this textile and other homeware products to various entities throughout South Africa, including the hospitality industry and supermarkets. We also have the capability to print custom logos, patterns and other information on these textiles.

One of our core strengths lies in product diversification, made possible by our state-of-the-art automated manufacturing equipment. We source our raw materials both locally and globally to ensure that our products adhere to the highest quality standards while remaining sustainable and competitively priced.

Textiles with minimal defects

As part of our quality control process, Romatex adopts a strict stance on defects bigger than one millimetre. The end quality of the textiles that we produce depends entirely on the efficiency and effectiveness of our inspection and sorting processes.

Inspection is an important discipline at our factory; it’s an essential process that guarantees the quality and effectiveness of the final product. This also improves customer satisfaction and a better experience for the final consumer.

Customers expect quality fabrics

Both end-users and intermediary companies that use stitchbond to manufacture other products expect these textiles to be of a certain standard. Quality control is the only way to ensure that our customers receive clean textiles that meet their needs. We adhere to detailed quality controls and inspections at every stage of the manufacturing process. This allows us to catch any defects before they turn into bigger problems. This approach also saves time and money.

Romatex has refined the quality control process over many decades of operating in the manufacturing industry. We know how to meet your requirements and deliver textiles that you can rely on. For more information about our various products and textiles, please contact us today.
